Overview

OpenTechSchool (OTS) is a global non-profit organisation dedicated to making tech education free and accessible for everyone. With volunteer-led workshops in over eight cities worldwide, OTS empowers people to learn programming and digital skills in an inclusive and collaborative environment.

Challenge

The previous website lacked structure and clarity. Key audiences — learners, volunteers, and donors — struggled to find relevant information. Content was scattered, updates were inconsistent, and the local chapters relied heavily on the central team for maintenance, slowing down communication and growth.

Solution

Pakufi conducted an in-depth UX research process to understand user needs and content flow. Based on this, we implemented a complete redesign with a focus on clear navigation, visual hierarchy, and accessible design.

The new website was built with Next.js and integrated with a headless CMS, allowing both the global and local chapters to independently manage and update their content. This structure ensures consistency while empowering local teams to maintain autonomy.
