Overview

Civey is a public opinion research company providing high-quality, representative surveys in real time. Its platform allows users to participate in surveys and access insights from live polling data, offering actionable information to businesses, media, and public institutions.

Challenge

Civey’s previous website, built on WordPress, was not scalable enough to handle dynamic real-time survey data. The challenge was to rebuild the website to support constant updates from live user voting, present survey results in intuitive, interactive graphs, and provide a seamless experience for both tech-savvy and general audiences.

Solution

Pakufi was one of the main actor involved in the rebuild of the Civey website using Next.js and Contentful, creating a hybrid architecture with static and dynamic content. The web app leveraged React, Redux, Node.js/Hapi, Jest, and Storybook to ensure robust frontend performance and maintainability. Special focus was given to designing interactive, user-friendly graphs to visualise survey data clearly for non-technical users, enhancing accessibility and user engagement.
